Project Overview
For this assignment, I designed an instructional plan for a 60-minute module titled Speak Up: Building Clarity and Confidence in Public Speaking. The plan targeted professionals who experience nervousness or lack of preparation when presenting, with objectives focused on managing anxiety, improving vocal clarity, and building self-assurance. I applied the instructional design process outlined in Designing Effective Instruction by Morrison et al. (2019), conducting a learner and task analysis, defining measurable objectives, and aligning each with an assessment strategy. The plan included recommended instructional materials, delivery methods, and interactive activities to support learner engagement and skill development. This project allowed me to blend research-based design principles with practical strategies to create a clear, actionable framework for an effective learning experience.
